Wish I could make it louder but this is a combo of the phone and attachment. It really is a blessing though. I use this when rounding on the COVID unit. I can put in ear buds when I suit up and leave them in without touching anything near my head/face. I place a cover over the stethescope with its Bluetooth attachment and examine the patients. It prevents me also from bending down in the face during examination. Seems to work a lot easier and more practical these days.

As an Army Veteran with tinnitus and mild hearing loss studying to become an EMT this helps me to hear when taking manual blood pressure as well as to hear heart and lung sounds better. I highly recommend this product especially to those who have issues hearing. I simply attach it to my Littmann Classic 3 stethoscope and it works great with zero issues.

great customer service. quick shipping from eko direct. easy to install on my littmann cardiology iii (same since med school). would be nice to have a linger piece of tubing for adapter as the barbed insert from either the core attachment or from the steth head has to stick out of the included length of tubing. app is easy to use. charging is easy as all my chargers are the micro usb (old android user).

This was not meant to be a bluetooth only stethoscope but is workable in this way. Currently seeing inpatient COVID patients and need a device to not tough face/ears with stethoscope. Can use a bluetooth phone earpiece but there are significant software limitations. The app required screen remain on to keep it streaming and this runs through battery faster. Having to re-pair stethoscope can be difficult and fails repeatedly at times. Volume is limited by bluetooth making hear sounds not easily audible. Overall, this would work better with changes to software.

I bought this product because as a nurse I need to hear what is going on with my patients in order to provide them with the best care. I noticed I wasn't hearing as well as I once did and I was afraid I was missing important sounds. I found Eko Core and have been very pleased!! I like how I can turn up the volume when I need to. I am still using my first charge, so the battery last a long time. The app is fun too but I only use it for myself or my family because of HIPPA.

Overall It is a fantastic addition to my stethoscope. The ability to filter between cardiac and pulmonary sounds is what I would consider to be the best asset this device has to offer. However, requiring your phone or other connected device to utilize this feature is, for me, a huge drawback. Maybe with a software update the user could toggle between sounds with the volume or record buttons? Wishful thinking...

Initially, I wanted this as a graduation gift but who am I kidding? I'd rather have the upper hand now as a nursing student. It is already hard enough to distinguish what I am hearing due to the lack of experience so amplifying the sound elevates my learning experience. The customer service is also great. The product is simple and attached easily to my stethoscope. The volume and clarity are good and noise cancelation seems to help distinguish murmurs difficult to hear. The button, although firm, occasionally presses while in the holster and thus wasting some battery, however battery life is very good and lasts several days. The App is simple to use and offers visualization and better understanding when unsure what I hear. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and it offers me additional value in my clinical skills for a very affordable price. Another advantage is the ability to convert back to your analog stethoscope when battery is out and continuing using your stethoscope unchanged. Highly recommended!

I recently upgraded from the original Eko. My first Eko was wonderful, but the new model is fantastic. It is much smaller and lighter. The performance is better too, with increased and clearer amplification. As with the original, I can easily detect heart and lung sounds that I would have missed with a standard stethoscope, especially with my slight hearing loss. I can't speak to the associated app, as I haven't used it. I highly recommend the device though. It is a small investment for such a valuable addition to my practice.

I have had the Core for a little bit over a month, overall is a really good experience. The pros, easy to use, battery lasts long time, parents are exited to hear The patients heart, and this helps giving them a better explanations when there are murmurs or additional sounds. I am a PA specializing in cardiology. I am still working out how to use this. I paired it with my Littmann master cardiologist stethoscope. It amplifies quite well. I find that noise from the patient diaphragm interface is amplified as well as the signal of interest. It would be nice if it was possible to roll of high, or low, or both frequency extremes to tune into what you need to hear. I am experimenting with the volume control. Breath sounds are tricky when amplified and I seem to not get all the nuances of chest auscultation I am used to from an un-amplified signal. Patients can make a lot of vocalizations during a chest exam and unfortunately these noises get boosted to. It is an interesting device that is, for me, a work in progress.

I am a 2nd year resident physician. This attachment does what the company says - amplify sounds. It has been helpful in diving into and analyzing murmurs. I get the Wow, what is that? Let me try it quite often. However, I have been having trouble filtering out heart sounds when I am listening to the lungs and vice versa. That, I presume, is a work in progress. I am satisfied with the product and will be willing to try anything better than this in the future. The charge lasts longer than what I expected. I have been using it on a single full charge for over 2 weeks now. Recorded sounds are easily audible via headphones.

The sound and ability to block out residual noise around the patient is exceptional. The only problem is that the device does not fit well on all stethoscopes and can cause the bell to easily fall off. There should be some way to prevent this.

I am an RN in a surgical stepdown unit. I mention this to preface my view and the biggest positive change that could be made for my use. How I utilize the EKO in practice is once I assess without amplification, I make a second pass with amplification to catch or better assess the patient's condition. The feature I find both most useful BUT inconvenient to use is the ability through the app to isolate heart and lung sounds. In practice, it is not the most convenient to pull out my phone and switch between settings. This brings me to my one change I would make. As I have no use for the recording feature, if it were possible to update the firmware of the device that would allow me to cycle through the sound isolation settings directly on the device via the record button this device would be perfect. It could even alert you which setting it was on via the LED red/cardiac blue/pulmonary. Perhaps not possible but one can dream. Fantastic device regardless.

Have been using it for about a month now and love it so far! The sound amplification is great and really helps. The noise cancellation and the sound filters (to filter cardiac and pulmonary sounds) are good when they work but they don't always work well so I find myself not using them. It would also be good if it had a button on the actual piece to switch between the filters as taking your phone out during a physical exam can be cumbersome. But besides that little con, I love the attachment so far! I love that I can use my actual stethoscope with it. The attachment is not bulky or heavy so it really doesn't even feel like I have anything on. I had to cut the actual stethoscope tubing though because it got way too long wait the attachment.

Pros: Adapts easily to standard stethoscopes and easily accessible 'on/off' button configured as a slide not only makes it easy to turn on and off but preserves battery life and the ability to use the stethoscope without the the digital enhancement. Connectivity to mobile app and the cloud is a plus. Cons: While it is great for heart sounds, lung sounds are amplified but not filtered to the extent that it is very useful. Wish list: tunable frequency filters. The electronics for such an improvement exist and the filtered could be easily configured with an app. Think about radios that have an auto-tune function. Same idea. This would place this device far above any electronic stethoscope on the market.
